Sam de Jong
Sam de Jong is celebrated as one of the biggest filmmaking talents to come out of the Netherlands in recent years. Known for his critically acclaimed shorts such as Magnesium, Marc Jacobs and Malaguti Phantom, Sam wrote and directed his highly anticipated first feature film Prince, which was released during the 2015 Berlinale. It goes without saying that this film has been incredibly well received and it makes Sam part of a new wave of filmmakers.
His ‘A-Z of Music’ with i-D and Marc Jacobs earned him a Gold at the 2018 Young Director Award, was awarded the prestigious D&AD Yellow and Wood Pencil and picked up a Gold Lamp at ADCN. Sam is currently working on his second feature in New York with VICE, and his third with HALAL.
