a Noël Loozen film
Paradise is a place where everything is peaceful and in harmony with itself, it doesn’t exist, and yet we talk about it as if we know it very well. A person cannot do without illusions. Everyone wants to leave, everyone is tired, but the white light seems so close.
Spinvis captured that feeling in an ingenious pop song as only they can make, this time with a little Metronomy and Steely Dan, but especially a lot of Spinvis.
The video of Paradijs was made by the Amsterdam artist/director/screenwriter Noël Loozen. A six-minute romantic tragicomedy. Paradise shows a desolate world of a drive-through. Commuters waiting in a snack traffic jam. All in a hurry. Except Spinvis.
